OVERVIEW
The Family Visitor Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program provides case management and education through home visitation for low-income, first-time mothers and their families between Aspen and Parachute, Colorado. Nurse visitors conduct in-home and virtual visits from the early prenatal period to the child’s second birthday. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Applicants must be registered nurses; have a current Colorado nursing license and CPR certification; have knowledge of nursing practices; and have experience working with pregnant clients, infants, and toddlers. To perform this job, nurse visitors must have a valid Colorado driver’s license; use of a personal vehicle; and current auto insurance, as required by state law. Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability preferred and compensated accordingly.

OVERVIEW
Great Expectations provides guidance and support for new and expectant parents in Garfield, Pitkin, and western Eagle counties, helping families navigate the critical period between pregnancy and preschool. Our home visitors teach parents about child development; promote positive infant-parent relationships; enhance children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development; support parents in setting and reaching goals; help parents bond and attach with their babies; and connect families with community resources.
The Program Manager is responsible for enhancing the quality and expanding the reach of two home visiting programs—Healthy Families America and Partners for a Healthy Baby—as well as Circle of Parents, a pair of parent support groups to be launched later this year. The Program Manager supervises a team of seven family visitors and reports to the agency’s Executive Director.
